ABOUT
ME

My journey in Logistics & IT

With over 25 years of experience in the logistics and supply chain industry, I have gained a deep understanding not only of the complex relationships between shippers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers, but also of the operational and IT challenges each of these parties faces. From optimizing processes to implementing advanced technology, I have worked extensively to address the unique needs of both shippers and logistics service providers.

My academic foundation includes a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Logistics Management) from a University of Applied Sciences (HTS Vervoersacademie Venlo), followed by a Master’s degree (MSc) in Transport & Distribution Management from Lincoln University in the UK.

I spent 15 years at Capgemini, where I held various roles, including Business Consultant, Project- and Change Manager, and ultimately, Global Transportation Sector Lead. In this capacity, I led strategic initiatives across the logistics sector, focusing on aligning IT solutions with business goals. A significant part of my role included co-authoring the 3PL Logistics Study (link to latest study below), an annual research report that sheds light on the evolving dynamics between shippers and 3PLs. The study emphasized how critical technology and IT systems have become in driving successful supply chain relationships, with visibility, data integration, and advanced analytics at the forefront.

Since 2014, I have operated as an independent consultant, offering tailored services to help businesses optimize their logistics operations and IT landscapes. My work spans various domains, including IT application rationalization, where I guide companies through eliminating redundant systems and implementing solutions such as Transport Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Advanced Planning Systems (APS). I also lead large-scale projects, such as the development of mechanized distribution centers and multi-modal logistics collaboration models, ensuring that technology and business objectives are perfectly aligned.

My approach to project and change management is rooted in proven frameworks, which allows me to guide businesses through complex transformations with minimal disruption. Whether managing system implementations or driving organizational change, I ensure that communication is clear, teams are aligned, and the project delivers real value.

Throughout my career, I’ve been recognized for my ability to connect people, foster innovation, and take organizations to the next level of performance. I collaborate closely with experienced professionals where needed, ensuring that every project is backed by deep expertise and industry knowledge.

Let’s discuss how I can help drive success for your logistics operations and IT initiatives.
